The Archbishop has decreed that the public celebration of Mass may resume beginning Saturday May 9, 2020. However in order to maintain public safety there will be particular protocols and guidelines to follow. These guidelines are subject to change and further guidance may be offered as needed.
At Blessed Sacrament, Mass will be offered to our faithful during our regular scheduled Mass times by appointment only. However, as things evolve, we will explore different approaches for the future which may include adding masses or various other means of distribuing the Eucharist if possible. For your safety and the safety of others, please do not come to the church for Mass if you are not scheduled to attend or if you are sick, symptomatic, or living with anyone who is symptomatic.
Keep in Mind
1. Only 20 households/Families. Currently up to Twenty (20) households will be allowed to participate inside the church at each mass. All social distancing and liturgical considerations will be followed. Due to the size of the congregation at Blessed Sacrament, the faithful should not expect to attend more than two(2) Weekend Mass during the month and unlimited additional weekday Masses. We will be gathering your contact information below and then reaching out to you to schedule an appointment.
2. No Obligation. The Archbishop has decreed that the Christian faithful have been dispensed from Sunday obligation to participate in the Mass until further notice. Because your family might only be able to attend Mass infrequently, and not necessarily on Sunday, please plan to continue to keep the Sabbath holy by participating in live-stream and recorded Masses.
3. Discern the Risk. Even with the best practices, the risk of infection exists. Therefore, if you are considered in a high risk category due to age, health, or concern for a high risk person you may have direct contact with, the Archdiocese urges you to remain at home for your own protection.
4. Germ Mitigation. Those who come to Mass are required to wear a mask. Please bring your own along with hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes to wipe any surfaces after mass. We also ask that participants remain at least 8-10 feet from others at all times, and stay home of they are sick or symptomatic.
How to Sign-up
Every parish will be handling the issue of Mass participation differently. At Blessed Sacrament we are asking our faithful to sign up if you would like to attend. Once we get your contact information we will notify you via email that you are now invited to schedule a Mass.
Please DO NOT come to Blessed Sacrament if you do not have an appointment either through our sign up genius schedule or by calling.
Only one person per household needs to sign up and only if you want to be contacted for an appointment. We will contact you to make an appointment for your whole party. Each household only needs to sign up below 1 time to get the link to the mass appointment schedule. Thank you.
